Mitchell Library

Through the College Portal, Mitchell Library has an extensive collection of online resources and research advice. Library staff provide support to teachers and students who need to complete research on a wide range of topics. This not only includes how to find quality information sources but also how to use this information.

All students from Year 7 to Year 10 participate in a structured wide reading program which endeavours to develop and enrich student reading. Year 7 and Year 8 students engage in weekly reading sessions with regular conferencing with their teacher and the library staff to encourage a strong reading culture. Year 9 and Year 10 students attend the library for a fortnightly reading session. All classes complete a reading task which forms part of their English assessment.

Mitchell Library hosts a variety of spaces that allow for private study, comfortable areas for students to socialise with other students and a dedicated reading room which holds a carefully curated fiction and recreational non-fiction collection to ensure the students have a wide range of reading options.

The Mitchell Library also facilitate a library at our Resurrection House campus to ensure our Year 9s have access to the same resources.
